Faith and Faithfulness: The Covenant विश्वास र विश्वासयोग्यता : वाचा

 “On that day Joshua made a covenant for the people, and there at Shechem he reaffirmed for them decrees and laws.”

“यहोशूले त्‍यही दिन मानिसहरूसँग करार बाँधे, र शेखेममा तिनीहरूका निम्ति विधि र विधान बनाए।”
— यहोशू २४:२५

The theme “Faith and Faithfulness: The Covenant” reminds us of God’s unchanging relationship with His people throughout Scripture. A covenant is not merely a contract—it is a sacred bond grounded in trust, love, and divine promise.

From Noah to Abraham, Moses, David, and finally Jesus Christ, each covenant revealed a new depth of God’s faithfulness and grace.

In Joshua 24, at Shechem—the Valley of Generations, Joshua gathered all Israel and renewed their covenant with God. He reminded them of the Lord’s faithful acts and called them to serve Him alone. The people responded,

“We will serve the Lord our God and obey Him.” (Joshua 24:24)

Today, this message calls us to renew our covenant with God and our families. Like Joshua, we can declare,

“As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

True faith is shown not only in words but in faithful obedience that continues through generations.

“विश्वास र विश्वासयोग्यता: वाचा” भन्ने विषयले बाइबलभरि परमेश्वर र उहाँका जनबीचको स्थायी सम्बन्धलाई देखाउँछ। वाचा साधारण सम्झौता होइन; यो विश्वास, प्रेम र प्रतिज्ञामा आधारित पवित्र सम्बन्ध हो।

नुहदेखि अब्राहाम, मोशा, दाउद र अन्ततः येशू ख्रीष्टसम्म, हरेक वाचाले परमेश्वरको विश्वासयोग्यताको नयाँ रूप प्रकट गर्छ।

यहोशू २४ अध्यायमा, शेखेम—“पुस्तौँको उपत्यका”—मा यहोशूले इस्राएलसँगको वाचा नवीकरण गरे। उनले परमेश्वरका कामहरू सम्झाइदिए र जनतालाई यहोवामात्रै सेवा गर्न आह्वान गरे।
जनताले उत्तर दिए,

“हामी हाम्रो परमेश्वर यहोवालाई सेवा गर्नेछौं र उहाँको आज्ञा मान्नेछौं।” (यहोशू २४:२४)

आज पनि यो सन्देशले हामीलाई आफ्नो जीवन र परिवारमा परमेश्वरसँगको वाचा नवीकरण गर्न निम्तो दिन्छ। यहोशूजस्तै हामी पनि भन्न सक्छौं,

“म र मेरो घरानाले परमप्रभुकै सेवा गर्नेछौं।”

साँचो विश्वास केवल शब्दमा होइन, पुस्तौँपुस्तासम्म देखिने आज्ञापालनमा प्रकट हुन्छ।
