The Joshua Family: Faith, Courage, and Legacy यहोशू परिवार : विश्वास, साहस र विरासत

“As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” — Joshua 24:15
“तर म र मेरो घरानाले परमप्रभुकै सेवा गर्नेछौं।” — यहोशू २४:१५

This year we  celebrate 25 years of faith and faithfulness of God in our marriage life, and as a theme we re-read the book of Joshua to understand its relevance for our family lives today. 

The life of Joshua, a man of covenant, courage, and commitment, has many learnings that we find relevant for the current and future generations. In the convention in Kalimpong, we share a  series of sessions drawing  inspiration from Joshua’s life. A helpful nmemonic based on the letters in the word FAMILY, is an outline of the sermon series. Post on key thoughts of each sermon follow in the next few posts:

• F=Faith and Faithfulness (Covenant): Trusting God’s promises and renewing our commitment to Him.

• A=Ancestry and Descendants: Honoring our forefathers and passing on faith to future generations.

• M & I.=The relation between our Maker and I. God is the source of our Strength and Courage. His guidance, presenace and power helps us to journey boldly wherever He leads.

• L= reflecting of our Life Choices that determine our Legacy

• Y= a family Yielding to the Lord: True service begins in our families and flows outward.

As we mark 25 years of marriage, we are reminded that a godly family is the foundation of a godly church and society. Like Joshua, may every home declare — “We will serve the Lord.”

जोशुआ परिवारको विषयवस्तुमा, हामी हाम्रो वैवाहिक जीवनमा परमेश्वरको विश्वास र विश्वासयोग्यताको २५ वर्षको उत्सव मनाउँछौं।

हाम्रो वैवाहिक यात्रा जोशुआको आत्मालाई प्रतिबिम्बित गर्छ — एक वाचा गर्ने, साहसी र प्रतिबद्ध व्यक्तिको रूपमा। कालिम्पोङको सम्मेलनमा, हामी सभासँग जोशुआको जीवनबाट प्रेरणा लिँदै सत्रहरूको श्रृंखला साझा गर्छौं:

F = विश्वास र विश्वासयोग्यता (वाचा): परमेश्वरका प्रतिज्ञाहरूमा भरोसा गर्दै उहाँप्रति हाम्रो प्रतिबद्धता नवीकरण गर्नु।

A = पूर्वज र सन्तति: हाम्रा पूर्वजहरूको सम्मान गर्दै विश्वास भावी पुस्तामा हस्तान्तरण गर्नु।

M & I = हाम्रो सृष्टिकर्ता र म बीचको सम्बन्ध नै हाम्रो बल र साहसको स्रोत हो: जहाँ परमेश्वरले नेतृत्व गर्नुहुन्छ, त्यहाँ उहाँको उपस्थितिमा निर्भीक जीवन बिताउनु।

L = जीवनका विकल्पहरूको प्रतिबिम्ब, जसले हाम्रो विरासत निर्धारण गर्छ।

Y = प्रभुलाई समर्पित परिवार: साँचो सेवा हाम्रो परिवारबाट सुरु हुन्छ र बाहिरतिर फैलिन्छ।

जब हामी वैवाहिक जीवनको २५ वर्ष पूरा गर्छौं, हामी सम्झन्छौं कि एक धर्मपरायण परिवार नै एक धर्मपरायण मण्डली र समाजको आधार हो। जोशुआजस्तै, हरेक घरले घोषणा गरोस् — “हामी प्रभुको सेवा गर्नेछौं।”
