In a world full of voices, opinions, and “new versions” of truth, the words of Paul the Apostle in Galatians 1 strike with powerful clarity:
“Even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse.” (Galatians 1:8)
Paul leaves no room for confusion—there is only one true Gospel.
This same Gospel was first boldly proclaimed by Peter the Apostle in Acts of the Apostles 2 and 3 after the resurrection of Jesus and the coming of the Holy Spirit.
The message was simple, powerful, and life-changing:
Jesus Christ, the promised Messiah, died for our sins, was raised from the dead, is exalted as Lord and Christ, and offers forgiveness, the Holy Spirit, and eternal restoration to all who repent and believe.
The Gospel begins with God’s promise fulfilled in Jesus. It moves through the cross, where Christ became the sacrifice for our sins. It stands firm on the resurrection, proving that death could not hold Him. It declares His Lordship—Jesus is not only Savior, but King.
And then comes our response: repentance and faith.
The Gospel is not self-improvement. It is not motivational religion. It is not prosperity or positive thinking.
It is surrender.
Peter said, “Repent and turn to God.” Paul said, “There is no other Gospel.”
The true Gospel confronts our sin, calls us to turn, fills us with the Holy Spirit, and gives us the hope of complete restoration when Christ returns.
If a message removes the cross, repentance, resurrection, or the Lordship of Christ—it is not the apostolic Gospel.
It is another gospel.
And Scripture says: reject it.
The Gospel is still the power of God for salvation. It is still enough. And it is still the only message that can truly change a life.
Christ crucified.
Christ risen.
Christ reigning.
Christ returning.
This is the Gospel.
